Kitty Sullivan's Musical
Presentation, Burns Library,
Boston College
The Eire Society of Boston sponsored a performance by wold reknowned harpist Kitty Sullivan at the Burns Library, Boston College.
October 2005:
Thomas P. O'Neill Presentation,
O'Neill Library, Boston College
The Eire Society was enchanted by Mr. Thomas P. O'Neill who spoke to our group about the legacy left by his father, Tip O'Neill. Mr. O'Neill presented at the O'Neill Library, named for his father Tip, at the heart of Boston College. Afterward the group toured the Tip O'Neill Museum exhibit and viewed the video presentation at the O'Neill Library.
September 2005:
Susan Gedutis Lindsay Presentation & Musical Performance, Jurys Boston Hotel, Back Bay
Susan Gedutis Lindsay gave an extremely charming presentation on her recent book See You At the Hall, Boston's Golden Era of irish Music & Dance at the Beckett Room of Jurys Boston Hotel in Back Bay. Her lecture was followed by an amazing musical performance by Susan on the flute accompanied by the renowned Irish fiddler Brendan Tonra and pianist Helen Kisiel.
July 21, 2005:
Goodbye for Isolode Moylan Garden Party at Boston College

The Eire Society of Boston along with several other groups said a heartfelt goodbye to a colleague and friend to the Boston Irish. On July 21, Eire Society members assembled at Boston College for a private garden party to send Isolde off well. Her warm demeanor will be missed as she and her husband Tom part from Boston in late July.
May 14 2005:
Gold Medal Dinner Honoring Joe Leary
of the Irish American Partnership
at the Park Plaza Hotel, Boston
The Eire Society just enjoyed one of our most prestigious events, the 2005 Gold Medal Dinner and Award Ceremony honoring Boston's Joe Leary of the Irish American Partnership. This black tie formal event was held at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston on Saturday, May 14.

is credited with the revolutionizing the architecture of Boston and American Catholic churches. The buildings
he designed are landmarks in virtually every major
city in America. He was twice president of the American Institute of architects and was awarded the first Eire Society Gold Medal award in 1945. Thanks to all those who attendedthis event!
